County Activities

We're privileged in Birmingham to have a fantastic team of leaders who come together as part of our extended county team to organise an array of great activities for our members, from competitions to trips and camps & we hope that there's something for everybody!

Many of our routine competitions and activities are communicated directly to districts and groups, however you'll find below links to some of our larger events...

Bivouac: Survival Skills Activity Badge Weekend. Open to the Scout and
Explorer Scout Sections, taking place on 22nd & 23rd September 2012.

For those who want to achieve the Survival Skills Badge to the highest
standard and feel a sense of adventure and fun in a safe environment.
The event is held in woodland in Gloucestershire.
BrumJam: Birmingham's very own International Camp that's taking place in summer 2012.

Open to Scouts and Guides from the UK and overseas aged from 10–18.

BrumVenture: Activity Badge Weekend. Open to the Scout section, taking place from 5th to 7th October 2012. Adventure, Achievement & an Activity Badge – All in one weekend!

The event is held at Pikes Pool.

iceSCOUT: A fresh approach to winter camping. Open to the Scout and Explorer Scout Sections and taking place on 7th to 9th December 2012.

With a chance of snow, ice, rain, and freezing temperatures there are many activities for you to take part in to warm yourself up. Birmingham's new winter camp is being held at Blackwell Court.

Kandersteg: Winter International trip. Joint activity open to Scouts & Guides, Explorer Scouts & Senior Section and taking place on 10th to 19th February 2012.

Activities include Snow Shoe Walking, Skiing, Ice Skating, Curling, City Trips, Torch Light Night Hikes and much more.

The event is held at Kandersteg International Campsite in Switzerland.
