Spitfire District

Spitfire district came into being when the previous East and North East Districts where merged and is made up of 18 different Scout groups, 8 Explorer Scout Units, District Network Unit and Scout Active Support. The district encompasses the north eastern corner of the city from the Coventry road all the way up to the boundary of Sutton Coldfield.

The district puts on a full and varied programme both at group level and at district and many of our leaders support and organise county events. Every two years the district presents the East Birmingham Gangshow, which currently takes place at Sheldon Heath Academy within the district and involves young people and adults both in the cast and supporting roles.

We can always find spaces for young people looking to join a Scout Group and opportunities for adults looking to join Scouting.
