Water Activities

Have you ever taken a kayak down rapids, feeling the water splash up as you hit a wave head on..?
How about blasting across a reservoir in a sailing dinghy, feeling the wind through your hair...?

Are you looking for a new, different, exciting adventure?

How about getting on to the water and having a go at sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing, scuba diving..? The list goes on...

My name is Andy Caffrey, I'm the Birmingham County Water Adviser looking after all water activities in the County.

I am part of the county water team, who work with scout groups to get as many scouts out on the water as possible. That could be training courses, evening
talks, training and assessments for adventure activity permits or just coming out with your group on the water. Birmingham County has many qualified people in
water activities that can help you get qualified and are always willing to help out.

The county water meetings are open to all involved in water activities in the county. The dates for 2012 are:
    Wednesday 7th March
    Monday 28th May
    Tuesday 2nd October
All meetings start at 7:30pm at Hatchett Street.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

I look forward to seeing you out on the water...
