Voluntary Trustee/Director with Finance Experience

Do you have a keen interest in developing the potential and character of young people?

Blackwell Adventure is seeking to appoint a non-executive Trustee/Director with a finance and accounting background to provide high level input to governance of all financial processes and banking matters. This will cover all aspects of audit, accountants, office team, banks, and management/statutory reporting. There is no requirement for bookkeeping or accounting work per se.

A not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and controlled by The Scout Association County of Birmingham, Blackwell Adventure operates two busy 50-acre activity centres located in North Worcestershire with a revenue of circa £1m and adequate reserves.

We are looking to appoint in the first quarter 2021. The Board meets five times each year and the successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills and a varied background including responsibilities in SME’s.
